International Development Week | Climate Finance Day
IN OTTAWA AND ONLINE
February 6, 2025
About
During International Development Week, Global Affairs Canada (GAC) will organize the Nature and Climate Community of Practice (NCCP) and the Partnering for Climate (P4C) initiative’s Annual Learning and Sharing event. The event will include an overview of nature and climate programming, as well as a discussion on Indigenous knowledge sharing and partnerships with GAC and climate action actors from national Indigenous organizations, Canadian and international civil society, the private sector, academia, and the donor community.
This event will be preceded by a session exploring the financing and social dimensions of just energy transitions. How can we ensure we are reaching populations living in different contexts, regions, and income levels? How can donors like Canada best support clean energy transitions in a variety of local contexts in developing nations? GAC also hopes to further understand the emerging priority issues in financing the clean energy transition and how they link to broader development issues.
Simultaneous interpretation in French and English will be provided throughout this hybrid event.
Register here by Saturday, 4 February!
