NAbSA Dialogues — Financing nature-based solutions

online

November 26, 2024

About

Financing nature-based solutions (NbS) holds an integral role in climate change adaptation. NbS are powerful tools for addressing global challenges like climate change, biodiversity loss, and sustainable development. However, the path to mobilizing financial resources for these solutions often poses significant challenges.

This session highlighted the perspectives of three organizations—UPA Développement international, Plan International and IISD—each working on gender-responsive NbS in their respective ecosystems and communities. Through a panel discussion, these three speakers shared the work they are currently doing, project and institutional perspectives, community mobilization methods, and future outlooks into the financing space. An interactive Q&A session followed the panel for attendees to share their thoughts and questions.

This event is part of the Nature-based Solutions for Climate Adaptation (NAbSA) Dialogues series. On the last Tuesday of every month, join enriching discussions highlighting impactful NbS for climate adaptation. Discover the successes of urban and coastal ecosystems, innovative financing strategies, and the strength of community sharing within Partnering for Climate (P4C) projects and beyond.
