International Development Week | Lessons from Partnering for Climate

IN OTTAWA AND ONLINE

February 2, 2026

About

During International Development Week, Global Affairs Canada (GAC) is organizing two events within the framework of the Government of Canada’s Partnering for Climate initiative and the Nature and Climate Community of Practice (NCCP). This first event will bring together partners and practitioners to share knowledge on nature-positive projects and draw lessons from the Partnering for Climate initiative. It will explore innovative approaches to climate action, nature-based solutions, private sector engagement, the trade–development nexus, and Indigenous-led programming and knowledge exchange.

The event will maximize opportunities for group exchanges and provide ample time for networking. Refreshments and lunch will be provided. Hybrid participants will be able to follow the opening and closing presentations and reporting-back sessions, and will participate in their own online discussion group.

English and French interpretation will be provided throughout the event.
